Bonpoint

Bonpoint is my favorite kids store. And it’s also the most expensive. It’s French and adorable for both girls and boys. I like to check the new seasons for inspiration. Enjoy!

Poufs

Does anyone have a Pouf? What do you think of them? They seem to be everywhere right now.

This is my favorite color. It’s a slate blue. Perfect for a gray and blue room.

Plush Toys

These little dolls by Bla-Bla are my favorite.

I would buy SOCKS the FOX for Satchel and JOSEPHINE the ELEPHANT for someone’s little girl.

In love with Lucite

I’m really appreciating Lucite right now because I’m trying to figure out when we move into a smaller place how to have the right amount of furniture without the house looking to crowed. I would love to have a nice traditional english sofa with lucite coffee table. Maybe even a console table by the entry that is barely there, but where I really want to put it is in a baby/kids room next to the crib and rocker with a nice table lamp on it.

Noodle and Boo

My family will tell you what a sucker I am for good advertising. I got sucked into Mario Badescu and SWORE it was everyone’s fix all facial cream (the facials are the very best out there, I swear!). However, I didn’t know anything about this wash or lotion when I saw it at Nordstrom but bought it because I was so in love with the smell. It honestly stays on Satchel for a few days if I don’t have time to give him a good wash. Now, after some research I’ve found that it’s a huge line among celebrities. One of my favorite luxuries with babies and kids is getting them clean in the bath and then rubbing baby smelling lotions all over then and getting into them into jammies! Nothing can beat it.

Noodle and Boo

Try out this small kit for $15 first to see if you like it. The large bottles are $15 too. I had to get the perfume too as a room spray. I can live in an old, rickety house but feel completely at peace with this smell in the kids room.

Satchel’s new shelves

I found this picture on the internet from a baby store and thought it would be perfect for Satchel’s room. I found in the damaged section of Ikea three white shelves for $2 each and a hanging rod for 1.50. It was about 12 dollars to put together and unfortunately, because of the wall, about $150 in manual labor! Sorry Kev!

It looks great though and is one of my favorite parts of his room.

Having a Baby on a Budget

I worked on this for an hour last night and all my images deleted some how so for now… no pretty pictures.

This is for my two sisters both pregnant with their first and both due in April. After having one- this is what I would get if I could do it all over again.

Please leaves comments if I forget anything great.

Some notes: Buy everything either second hand or from target for the first 3 months at least- save up for clothes when you can actually see them.

Swaddle blankets are good with out any stretch to them. Target had great ones.

Get a Snap & Go for your infant car seat.

Purple johnson and johnson is my favorite baby body wash.

Mrs. Meyers, The Laundress or Caldrea detergent smells best.

Definitely get a Bravado seamless nursing bra.

You really don’t need tons of things. Must haves: (am I forgetting any?)

Carseat, stroller, baby carrier, diapers, wipes, one pieces with feet, hats, swaddle blankets, breast pump, nursing bra, thermometer, Tylenol, nasal sucker, nail clippers, and a crib/cradle/or bassinet to sleep in.

Books: Dr Sears The Baby Book, Dr. Sears Breastfeeding, Healthy Baby, Happy Child sleep book, Goodnight Moon.
